2.70 Caring for Seniors

I direct local regional social services to create a confidential list of eldely people, especially widows and widowers in their area who need company or practical help such as shopping, gardening, etc. This list is to be ready by December 12 2003 with a social services contact telephone number prominently advertised in local newspapers, and liaison with the Community Support officer at local schools¹.

¹"The Community Support officer" is the expression I will use for "School and local community liaison volunteer coordinator". It has no religious significance whatsoever.
